This is the view on the western side, the side we fell in love with. We drove out this way, summer of 2006,to look at another property and thought this might be part of it. But it wasn't. We were disappointed and told our realtor, Dianne Cade, that this property was just what we were looking for. She made call after call for us and finally made it happen. Instead of 10 acres, we ended up with 21.46.

We are building a house, a 2000 sg ft. workshop, and a garage with three bed/bath above. Here is a google map with sites of local interest:

A view from Bennet Road taken by Scott, which shows the front part of the row of magnolias that we bought from Robinson Tree Farm. When we had the survey done, the boundary went thru a row of magnolias on the back east side. Larry was so great about moving the trees, and making sure that they would have water until we are able to get irrigation started. They are going to be so beautiful!

A painted horse on the Smith pasture behind our property. It was a beautiful day, and the horses were all frisky. This mare especially.

(The following pictures from Dec. 2006) After we finally own the property, we took the family out to look at it. Roger, Joe, and Patrick laid out the site with Laurie's help. Pat picked out the homesite on the day we signed the intent to buy - he was the first in the family to see the site!

This picture is from November 2006, before the boys at "Oak Meadows" bulldozed on our property, knocking down and damaging many of our trees.
